13th annual San Clemente Boys & Girls Club Iron Man Contest
In October 2009 the SCLB facilities were the setting of a portion of the 2009 San Clemente Boys & Girls Club Iron Man Contest fundraiser. Over 30 contestants trying their hand at lawn bowling. There was a lot of laughing and good natured razzing as the bowlers realized that the bowls were designed to curve rather than go straight. A great time was had by all!
This Southern California-wide event with participation of twenty-three lawn bowling clubs across San Diego, Orange and Santa Barbara counties celebrating "California Lawn Bowls Day", as proclaimed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. See Photos!
